The
Cooperation of Indonesian Embassy, Travel and Media
Agency Hungary
and Singapore Airlines on the global premier of
“Bali
: Sensual Balance” Film,
in
the Urania Theater, Budapest, August 30, 2006
On August 30, 2006, Indonesian
Embassy in cooperation with the Hungarian documentary
film Travel and Media Agency, and Singapore Airlines,
conducted jointly promotion the global premier of a Bali
film with the title “ Bali : Sensual Balance” at the
famous Urania Theater in Budapest. The premier of the
film was attended by aproximately 150 invitees from
diplomatic corps, well-known travel companies in
Budapest, and representative of Hungarian media.
The Bali film which was lasted for
one hour, divided into two parts. The first part shows
the daily life in Bali which is influenced by the
modernization and the second part focused on the
strength of tradition, and religion of Bali society. The
film has already been translated into some languages
such as Hungarian,English, Russian, Czech, Poland, and
German. The naration of the report by Travel and Media
Agency about Bali was already published in the
Hungary’s travel magazine “Explorer” in
January-February 2006 edition.
In the welcoming speech at the event,
the Charge’d Affaired Ad Interim of the Embassy, Mr.
Octavino Alimudin stated that although foreign tourist
to Bali fluctuates as the Island experienced tragic
events, such as the Bali Bombing, but Bali still is the
main tourist destination in Indonesia with all its
unique culture. The Indonesian Government has also
tightened up the security in Bali by installing the
modern Tsunamy Early Warning System. The international
recognition to Bali as the World’s Best Island since
2002 and as 3 renowned hotels in Bali are listed among
the 10 World’s Best Hotel according to the survey by
Travel and Leisure Magazine in New York, they gives an
assurance regarding the recovery of tourist’s industry
in Bali.
During the speech, Mr. Octavino also
conveyed the appreciation for the cooperation with the
Travel and Media Agency and Singapore Airlines, with a
hope that the beneficial relation could still be
maintained in the future.
After the show of the film, there was
a reception and a Balinese gamelan performance from the
Embassy’s cultural group. Overall, the event got a
positive response from the audience.
